My tastes and colours…

I have a principle which is to always do my best under any conditions. Enough about Asian, Buddhist, Shintoist, and other thoughts... and other areas of the globe, I have learned that balance is the most complicated state to reach. This balance can also be found in many fields such as photography (too much or too little light), sports, work, house (Feng-Shui), ...

Recipe of pork with Marsala in 15mn

Jamie Oliver / 2014

Cooking time: 15mn / Preparation time: 10mn.

Ingredients for 4 people:

300 g brown or basmati rice

About ten dried ceps (or fresh ceps)

1/2 lemon

4 sprigs of lemon thyme (or thyme)

1 half Chinese cabbage

1 broccoli

600 g pork tenderloin

1 vegetable bouillon cube

1 tablespoon cilantro molded coriander

1 tablespoon paprika

1 tablespoon of olive oil

1 red onion

4 sage sheets

1 line of Marsala

20 cl light cream

Cook the rice in double boiling salted water and add the coarsely chopped porcini mushrooms, lemon and lemon thyme halfway through the cooking time. If you use fresh porcini mushrooms, cook them in a pan in a little bit of material fat and add them at the end of the rice cooking. If the rice is undercooked, cover it for 5 to 10 minutes.

Cook the cabbage in a saucepan filled with water with the vegetable bouillon cube over high heat for 15 minutes, 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time add the broccoli.

Cut the tenderloin into 3cm thick slices. Coat it with paprika and ground coriander and brown it in olive oil in a frying pan, turning it regularly until it is cooked. Finely chop the red onion and remove the sage leaves and add them to the meat. Add 2 tablespoons of the stock that is cooking. Once the meat is cooked, add some marsala and flame it up.

Put the meat on a cutting board and pour the cream with the bouillon into the pan. Bring to the boil and let the sauce take on a nice consistency. Season.

Serve the meat with the rice, cabbage and broccoli and drizzle with the cream.

Lemon can be replaced by orange slices to be added when the meat is cooked, porcini mushrooms can be replaced by fresh button mushrooms cooked at the same time as the onion, and sage may not be part of the recipe.

Italian shower raised by 10cm because of the drain pipes

Garlin Ludovic / 2018-2019

As a novice in this field, I started to rebuild my shower. Rather difficult task in the idea, I got through it pretty well with the help of several tutorials on Youtube. The longest was the cutting of the tiles. In conclusion: I did well not to invest in a circular saw but rather in a mini saw equipped with diamond discs because otherwise I would not have been able to cut the mosaic tiles that I put on the shower floor. It is necessary to put braces at the top of the tiles when you stop to finish the next day because the weight of the tiles brings them closer together, the result is a non-regular joint but it looks clean. To avoid splashes, I put up a glass brick wall that lets the light through (photo to come). I still have to do the finishing touches, strips for the tiles and the brick wall, and a shelf to store shower gels and shampoos.
